Monitoring

Monitoring is a core part of how Simplified Solutions keeps devices healthy and secure. Once a device is enrolled, it is continuously monitored in the background to detect issues early and provide visibility into system health.

Monitoring is automatic and does not require manual configuration or ongoing attention from users.

What Monitoring Covers

Monitoring focuses on system-level health and conditions that may impact stability, performance, or security.

Common areas that are monitored include:

  • Device availability and check-in status.
  • CPU, memory, and disk usage.
  • Low disk space and resource exhaustion.
  • Failed tasks or maintenance actions.
  • Security-related events and protection status.

This information is used to generate device status indicators and alerts when thresholds are exceeded.

How Monitoring Works

The management agent running on each device collects health and status information and reports it securely to the platform.

Monitoring runs continuously and updates automatically as conditions change. Most checks occur on a regular interval without any user interaction.

Alerts and Visibility

When monitored conditions indicate a potential issue, alerts may be generated.

Alerts are designed to highlight situations that may need review, such as repeated failures or sustained high resource usage.

Not all monitoring activity produces alerts. Many checks run silently to confirm that systems are operating normally.

Where Monitoring Information Appears

Monitoring results are visible throughout the platform, including:

  • Device health status on the Dashboard.
  • Detailed metrics on the device details page.
  • Alerts and activity history when issues are detected.

What You Need to Do

In most cases, no action is required.

Monitoring exists to provide awareness and early detection. Devices marked as healthy can generally be left alone, while devices needing attention can be reviewed as needed.

This approach allows you to stay informed without needing to actively watch the system.
