What we Monitor (and what we don't)
This document explains what Simplified Solutions monitors on enrolled devices, as well as what is intentionally not monitored. The goal is to provide strong security and operational visibility while respecting privacy and avoiding unnecessary data collection.
All monitoring is focused on device health, security posture, and system status. We do not monitor personal activity or the contents of user data.
What We Monitor
Simplified Solutions monitors information required to manage and protect devices effectively. This data is visible throughout the Dashboard and Device Details pages.
- Device health and status, including whether a device is online, reporting correctly, and operating within expected thresholds.
- System performance metrics, such as CPU usage, memory utilization, and disk space, which are used to generate alerts when thresholds are exceeded.
- Operating system information, including OS version, architecture, last boot time, and whether a reboot is required.
- Patch status for operating system and supported software updates.
- Alerts generated by monitoring rules, such as low disk space, high resource usage, or failed tasks.
- Antivirus and NGAV status, including whether protection is enabled, update status, and detected threats when applicable.
- Backup status for Organizations with backups enabled, including whether recent backups have completed successfully.
- Hardware and configuration details, such as processor information, installed memory, storage volumes, and network addresses.
- Activity history, showing actions performed on or by the device, such as patch installations, scans, and automated maintenance tasks.
This information is presented in the Device Details view to provide transparency into device state and ongoing protection.
Alerts and Security Events
Alerts are generated when monitored conditions meet defined criteria, such as exceeding resource thresholds or detecting security-related events.
For Organizations with NGAV enabled, security events may include detected threats, quarantined items, or response actions taken automatically or by human analysts.
Alerts are designed to inform and provide context, not to capture user behavior.
What We Do Not Monitor
Simplified Solutions intentionally does not monitor or collect the following types of information:
- Personal files, documents, photos, or file contents.
- Emails, messages, or communications.
- Keystrokes, screen activity, or application usage unrelated to system health.
- Web browsing history or user activity within applications.
The platform does not function as user surveillance or productivity monitoring software.
Why This Approach Is Used
By focusing monitoring on device health and security rather than personal activity, Simplified Solutions balances protection with privacy.
This approach allows organizations to maintain strong security controls and operational awareness without collecting unnecessary or intrusive data.
All monitoring exists to support the core purpose of the platform: keeping devices secure, stable, and properly maintained.
