Ownership and Access

This document explains the difference between administrator and standard access within an Organization. Access levels are designed to give organizations flexibility while ensuring that sensitive actions and information remain appropriately restricted.

Each member of an Organization is assigned either standard access or administrator access. The permissions associated with each role determine which areas of the platform are visible and editable.

Administrator Access

Administrators have full access to Organization-level settings and sensitive information. This role is intended for owners, primary decision-makers, or trusted administrators responsible for managing the Organization.

Users with administrator access can:

  • View and manage billing information, invoices, and payment methods.
  • Change the Organization’s subscription tier.
  • Update Organization details such as name, billing location, and timezone.
  • Invite new members and manage access permissions.
  • Perform all device-related actions available to standard users.

Standard User Access

Standard users are intended to have visibility into devices and system health without access to billing or Organization-level administrative settings.

Users with standard access can:

  • View the Dashboard and all device health metrics.
  • View the device list and detailed device information.
  • Generate and download installers for enrolling devices.
  • Monitor alerts, activities, and system status.

Standard users cannot view or modify billing details, invoices, payment methods, or subscription settings.

Choosing the Right Access Level

Access levels should be assigned based on responsibility. Administrator access should be limited to users who need to manage billing, membership, or Organization-wide settings.

Standard access is well suited for IT staff, office administrators, or other team members who need visibility into device health and system status without access to financial or administrative controls.

Clearly separating access levels helps protect sensitive information while still allowing teams to work effectively within the platform.
